Bringing together union members, labor activists, and local officers, a Troublemakers School is an incredible space for networking, building solidarity, and sharing successes, strategy, and inspiration. It’s a real shot in the arm for newbies and seasoned activists alike.
Members who attend will get inspired. Hear speakers from the front lines of recent struggles.
They’ll also get trained. The one-day conference features interactive workshops, panels and meetings, ranging from crucial basic skills like helping your colleagues beat apathy to advanced topics like organizing a winning contract campaign.

Cost: $10, Registration fee includes a light breakfast, coffee, lunch, and workshop materials.

We will open doors and windows for air flow where possible. Masks will be provided for attendees.
How to Register:
If you are a member of one of the following sponsor unions, your union will cover your registration fee! Sponsoring unions: AAUP-PSU, AFSCME Local 189, AFSCME Local 328, AFT-Oregon, APWU Local 128, ATU Local 757, CCCAF, ILWU Local 4, LIUNA Local 483, Oregon Education Association, PCCFFAP, Portland Association of Teachers, Portland DSA, PSUFA, Reynolds Education Association, SEIU Local 503, Teamsters Locals 162 and 206, Washington Education Association-Riverside.
If you are not a member of a sponsoring union, registration is $10, or $25 if you want to include a special half-price subscription to Labor Notes magazine. But no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
